Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Manager is responsible for effectively and safely managing all industrial maintenance technicians, adhering to budget and the continuous improvement process.
As the Industrial Maintenance Supervisor, you will efficiently maintain production machinery, as well as manage maintenance of the production facility, utilities, and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
The Industrial Maintenance Manager reports to the plant's Operations Manager.
Maintenance Manager duties and essential job functions include the following:
* Supervises and provides expertise for installation, trouble shooting, maintaining and repairing manufacturing plant equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, steam-operated circuits, Electrical 24v to 480v 3 phase, and machinery.
* Maintains production equipment and procedures in a manner that meets company efficiency and safety standards for all team members and insures minimal equipment downtime.
* Develops, schedules, and controls a preventive maintenance program to maintain production.
* Ensures machinery and equipment in proper working condition.
* Selects, develops, and evaluates industrial maintenance technicians to ensure efficient team member performance.
* Supervises and coordinates activities of industrial maintenance technicians in a safe and efficient manner.
* Maintains inventories of maintenance materials, supplies and spare parts at required levels.
* Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve efficiency and /or generate cost reductions.
* Looks beyond existing methods to anticipate, define and resolve complex operational problems.
* Assists with environmental health and safety inspections.
* Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
* Maintains accurate and complete records of work performed.
* Assists in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low inventory to leadership.
* Focuses on continuous improvement and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
* Occasional overnight travel is required.
* Performs other duties as needed.
Qualifications
* 2-year technical degree related to the maintenance of mechanical equipment and 2 years related maintenance team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent in combination of education and experience
* Experience with high voltage 3-phase electrical, low voltage, and control voltage circuits, as well as fabrication and trouble shooting skills are required
* Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment
* Knowledge of OSHA and a genuine commitment to safety
* Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
* Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills
