Portsmouth or Reading - hybrid working 2 days in either offer and from home

Permanent, part time (25 hpw) 

Earn £12.60 per hour, (Salary £24,638 per annum [pro rata]) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great job opportunity for a Community Housing Assistant to join Home Group's awesome voids and lettings team in the South region.

Typical day as our Community Housing Assistant


* You’ll support our Housing Managers to look after voids and lettings within their patches.


* You’ll support with tasks such as managing our voids processes which includes, liaising with local authorities, working with prospective new customer's, engaging and meeting with maintenance colleagues and Housing Managers.


* Managing Mutual Exchanges from start to finish, in conjunction with the Housing Managers. 


* You’ll also manage the admin, updating records, ensuring compliance with our sign up process and taking payments

You bring


* A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, able to work on your initiative.


* Administration experience a must, as well as excellent attention to detail.


* A real passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.


* Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners


* An understanding of housing management, housing law and universal credit would be ideal, but they’re not deal breakers!


* Strong knowledge of Office related IT packages


* The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records

* This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you’ll spend 2 days per working from your local office, in either Portsmouth or Reading. 


* We work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers.
