Legal Support Assistant I/II - District Attorney

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office is accepting applicants for Legal Support Assistants I/II for their Division of Victim Services.

Working closely with the Law Office Supervisor, the incumbent will perform a wide variety of specialized and responsible clerical work involving the continual use of legal terminology and engage with victims of crime to provide information regarding Marsy's law and case updates.

They will alsoCollect, maintain, and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of data related to restitution and other case information process and track various legal documents, records, correspondence, and other related duties as required.

About DVS

The Division of Victim Services (DVS) is a division within the Riverside County District Attorney's Office.

DVS serves as a Victim/Witness Assistance Center pursuant to California Penal Code 13835 and is recognized by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors as the county's primary provider of comprehensive services to victims and witnesses of crime.

DVS is dedicated to empowering victims, to ensuring victims' rights are respected, and to assisting them in navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system with compassion and support.

DVS operates a number of programs that provide ongoing support to victims of crime: California Victim Compensation Board Claims Unit, K9 Facility Dog program, Mass Casualty Crisis Response Team (CRT), Crime Prevention Unit services dedicated to reducing youth engagement in criminal activity, and the community engagement program S.T.O.R.I.E.S.
