Activities Assistant - The Phoenix Post Acute
Do you enjoy bringing joy, laughter, and purpose to the lives of others? We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team.
In this role, you'll help plan, organize, and lead engaging programs and events that enrich the daily lives of our residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Activities Director in planning and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activity calendars.
* Lead group and one on one activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, outings, and special events.
* Encourage resident participation while being mindful of individual needs, abilities, and preferences.
* Help transport and escort residents safely to and from activities.
* Maintain accurate attendance records and assist with activity documentation.
* Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that promotes socialization and quality of life.
* Assist with decorating, event set-up, and creating a fun, lively atmosphere in the community.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent (CNA or prior activities experience a plus, but not required).
* Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality with strong communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Creativity and a passion for making a positive impact in residents' lives.
* Ability to lift, bend, and assist with resident mobility as needed.
* Must pass background check and health screening requirements.
Schedule & Benefits
