Workers' Compensation Regulatory Affairs Senior Advisor

The Workers' Compensation Regulatory Affairs Senior Advisor will monitor legislative and regulatory activities and create internal/external communications to ensure the MyMatrixx division, cross functional partners and clients are well informed of potential or enacted/adopted public policy changes impacting MyMatrixx.

This role will also support legislative/regulatory advocacy efforts at an industry and state workers' compensation level.

In addition, they will serve as a subject matter expert and assist with explanation and interpretation of new statutes and regulations to assist with compliance with new requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES


* Monitor legislative and regulatory activities related to workers' compensation pharmacy.


* Periodically attend state meetings/hearings to provide testimony in response to proposed legislation/regulatory changes.


* Develop written comments for submission on proposed legislative/regulatory proposals.


* Attend industry meetings and participate in trade associations to represent MyMatrixx.


* Organize, evaluate and outline potential impact of proposed/adopted changes to leadership.


* Develop internal and external communications related to the legislative/regulatory activities.


* Participate in client calls to address questions or concerns related to legislative/regulatory activities.


* Maintain internal relationships with partners in Government Affairs and the Legal Department.


* Collaborate with cross functional partners to interpret statutes and regulations, which they will operationalize to ensure systems are compliant and process flows reflect the enacted/adopted changes.


* Maintain internal and external documentation of proposed and/or enacted/adopted legislative and/or regulatory language, including a record of relevant statutes and regulations.


* Act as a subject matter expert (internal and external) for legislative and regulatory questions.


* Ability to prioritize legislative and regulatory review and efforts based on effective date, impact/exposure, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS


* Workers' compensation regulatory and PBM experience preferred.


* Experience tracking and influencing proposed legislation and regulations required.


* Bachelor's degree in related field or 5-8 years of workers' compensation legislative and regulatory experience required.


* Experience with StateNet or another similar legislation/regulation tracking service preferred.


* Excellent communication and customer service skills, (i.e., presentation and written, verbal, listening, phone).


* Strong analytical, planning, problem identification and resolution skills required.


* Effective verbal and written communication with internal and external individuals in various functional areas and at all levels of management.


* Ability to plan for and integrate multiple time-sensitive tasks concurrently as well as work independently with minimal direction.
