Senior Frontend Engineer

Hybrid: Belgrade/Novi Sad

Schneider Electric is looking for a Senior Frontend and Mobile App engineer to work on applications for the web and mobile devices.

You will focus on products for advanced home & building automation with smart energy management, including but not limited to our suite of premium KNX products.

What will you do?


* Extend and improve existing TypeScript applications like "Wiser KNX" app (React Native, Angular): Play Store, Apple Store.


* Build new cross-platform mobile and web applications.

• Build and evolve a set of Design System components in collaboration with the Design Team, for use in a wider context at Schneider-Electric.


* Ensure good coding practices and drive towards maintainable, testable architecture.


* Iterate quickly and deliver continuously.


* Mentor and support other engineers.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


* 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.


* Experience creating responsive UX implementations from Figma designs.


* Knowledge of TypeScript & JavaScript, CSS, HTML.


* Frontend-stack build tooling and project scaffolding (node, npm, webkit...).


* React Native + Expo for building cross-platform mobile applications.


* Building accessible user interfaces according to accessibility standards (WCAG, EU Accessibility Act).


* Familiarity with cybersecurity principles as applied to frontend development.


* Familiarity with data privacy considerations.


* Familiarity with RESTful APIs and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).


* Experience with mobile and web analytics.


* Writing effective unit, integration and end-to-end tests.


* Full-stack: Ability to jump into our Java Spring Boot based microservices code to improve a small thing or two a plus!
