Quality Engineering Lead

Georgia-Pacific's Software Engineering & Integration team (SE&I) is seeking a Quality Engineering Lead to join the team in Atlanta, GA.
You will lead a global team of contribution motivated Quality Engineers who partner with SE&I engineers and architects across the company.
Lead the testing effort for multiple product teams by effectively analyzing business requirements, developing advanced test automation strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest quality of mobile and web applications.
You will collaborate closely with Customers, Product Owners, and Developers to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
You will also provide strategic insights and updates to Customers and IT professionals, document best-practice QA Automation processes, and assure the quality of large initiatives like Save My Life (SML) or Catalyst.

We focus on delivering profitable business outcomes by partnering with business analysts, delivery leaders, and quality engineers to build the right solution at the right speed.
What You Will Do
Quality Assurance:
* Define and enforce quality standards and best practices for testing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
* Conduct regular reviews and audits of test processes and outcomes.
Tooling and Frameworks:
* Identify, evaluate, and integrate appropriate testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, ADO, Postman, Rest Assured, etc.
that align with SE&I's goals and testing processes.
* Consolidate existing test tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
* Develop and implement best practices and reference implementation for tool usage and adoption.
Test Automation:
* Design and develop automated test frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage.
* Establish guidelines and best practices for test automation that can be used as a reference for future projects.
Mentor and guide the team in best practices for test automation.
* Coach Developer's and QE's on best practices for unit testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and other testing methodologies to ensure high-quality, maintainable code and robust software development processes
Shift-Left Approach:
* Champion the shift-left approach by integrating Quality Engineering best practices into development.
* Assist development teams in adopting these standards to ensure early detection and resolution of defects.
