Directs the operations of the Maintenance function in a manufacturing environment.

Plans, designs, and supervises the reconfiguration, maintenance and alteration of equipment, machinery, building, structures and other facilities.

At this level the role has increased responsibility including, but not limited to, additional skills, multiple lines/products, diverse teams, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:


* Supervises maintenance activities to ensure equipment and tools used for Operations are maintained to meet operational requirements and equipment/process specifications.


* Delegates and supervises work performed by staff.


* Establishes and manages work schedules.

Develops plans (work scope, schedule, resource requirements, and so forth) for maintenance activity execution required to meet system demands and business objectives.


* Supervises, mentors, develops, evaluates and coaches staff.

Implements performance improvement plans as needed.


* Provides input to and manages departmental budget.

Reviews expenses and implements cost controls to ensure budget is not exceeded.

Obtains and evaluates bids from vendors.
