Lead Software Engineer - AI/ML+Python+AWS

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within US Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
* Develop AI models and algorithms to address complex business challenges.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and applications.
* Conduct research to stay abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
* Deploy, manage, and optimize AI models on AWS cloud infrastructure.
* Engineer the control plane for provisioning, automation, scaling, integrations, and self-service, making it accessible to thousands of applications.
* Create intuitive user interfaces for AI-driven products using React.Utilize Java for robust and scalable backend development.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
* Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
* Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of AI projects.
* Proficiency in React for front-end development and Java or python for backend development.
* Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda.
Infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly with Terraform.
* Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
* Familiarity with data processing and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Formal training or certification in Python, with advanced proficiency.
* Practical experience in architecting and developing applications on major public cloud providers
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
* Prior financial or banking experience is a plus.
* Experience SRE, Security, Observability & Performance as part of all owned applications/deliverables is a plus..
