Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems.

The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.

The Lab Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Performing laboratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control.


* Providing technical support for gas chromatographs in the regional area.


* Managing and reporting quality data to internal/external customers throughout the region.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:


* Technical coursework beyond high school


* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is preferred.


* 5 years of laboratory industry experience can commensurate with Bachelor's degree.


* Experience developing Chromatography specialized test methods and statistical data methods of quality of control is preferred.


* Experience with Natural Gas liquids and Liquified Petroleum Gas products is preferred.


* Chemical Hygiene Plan execution experience is preferred.


* Willing to cover overtime shifts.


* Experience with:
+ Chromatography basics (both operation and maintenance)
+ Analytical software packages
+ LIMS
+ Wet Chemistry techniques
+ Interpretation of standard testing procedures (GPA, ASTM, and UOP)
+ Procedure review and writing


* SQC experience in a laboratory environment, interpreting and creating control charts.


* Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety.


* Good verbal/written communication skills, decision-making skills and a strong work ethic.


* Able to work well with others and able to receive constructive criticism and direction while on Shift.


* Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel and Word.


* Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously develop and improve his/her skills through formalized and on-the-job training.


* Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
