As a Software Engineer II - Solutions Delivery at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Payment Engineering and Architecture Solutions Delivery team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities



* Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches


* Write secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance


* Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems


* Facilitate evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture


* Facilitate communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies


* Address non-functional requirements to ensure stability, security and scalability of the API infrastructure


* Actively participate in a highly energy global agile team


* Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development


* Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience


* Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability


* Familiarity with container and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, ECS and Docker


* Strong experience with Terraform and automation tooling and scripting knowledge (Bash/YAML), git-based workflows


* Proficient in coding in one or more languages i.e.

Java, JavaScript, or Python


* Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
