What You'll Do

As an Engineering Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting outside plant (OSP) engineering projects.

You’ll design maps, prepare cost estimates, determine required permits and easements, and create construction drawings with bills of materials.

You’ll also conduct field verification, oversee construction for compliance with specifications, and ensure all work is performed safely.

In this role, you’ll collaborate across teams, document new and existing projects, and help ensure service requests are completed accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Bring


* Commitment to Safety: A strong dedication to maintaining a safe environment -both physically and mentally- for yourself, your colleagues, and customers


* High school diploma or equivalent


* Minimum of 1 year of experience with mapping software (e.g., eLations, GIS mapping tools)


* Minimum of 2 years of experience producing or reading construction sheets and maps


* Valid Class D driver’s license with an acceptable driving record


* Knowledge of construction sheets, maps, and utility concepts are it relates to telecom engineering and construction


* Strong communication and organizational skills


* Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Excel, Word, and internet-based applications


* Ability to plan, prioritize, and follow written/oral instructions


* Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions


* Detail-oriented, accurate, and systematic approach to work

Bonus points if you have:


* Associate's degree in telecommunication, drafting, construction management, or related field


* Experience estimating project costs and identifying easement needs

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
