Finance Summer Internship

Where you'll Work:

This Internship will be working with the Financial Analysis department where you will be responsible for owning one or more projects assigned to you at the beginning of the week.

Some departmental tasks can include assisting with pricing guarantees, rebates, contracts, client payments, etc.

During summer your internship, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate within your department and across the business- and learn from some of our brightest and most innovative employees in your area of focus.

What you'll do:

Cigna's 10- 12-weeksummer internship program isdesigned tohelpfurther developyourskills andgive you experience working in a dynamicenvironment.This opportunity will give you the chance to be a part of the following offerings:


* "Realwork":through an Intern Projectinwhich you may be able to:
+ Gain valuable knowledge on the client operations area of finance
+ Conduct research, related to your assigned project(s)
+ Perform data analysis and reporting
+ Collaborate cross-functionally to advance your assigned project(s)


* Community:Build relationships with ourbusinesspartners, team members and other interns.


* Leader Speaker Series:You and your fellow interns will be exposed to a variety ofsessionsand presentations given by members of the Cigna community.

What you need to do the job:


* Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor's degree, and have completed 3years in desired majors includingBusiness, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Data Analytics or related fields.


* 3.0GPA or higher is preferred


* Intermediate MS Excel functions


* SQL knowledge is preferred


* Teradata and data mining knowledge is a plus


* SharePoint knowledge is a plus


* Must have financial reporting or data analysis experience (projects, coursework, internships, etc.)


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills


* Strong business aptitude and problem-solving skills


* Being a self-starter who is eager to learn and acquire new skills

Additional Information:


* Location: In-Person in St Louis, MO.

Intern will be expected to work in-person from the St Louis office location3 days a week(T, W, TH) with flexibility to work at home for balance of time.
