Construction Coordinator
Overview
The Construction Coordinator assists with all project-related items consistent with construction and timely completion of transit systems.
Typical duties include interpreting construction documents; performing field inspections; ensuring projects are in compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and final completion of installation; monitoring contractor performance; assisting with resolving contractor issues; and preparing and maintaining accurate project records.

Responsibilities
· Monitors construction sites to ensure appropriate quality control on all processes, and coordinates with various teams to gather all permits for projects.
· Leads multiple construction projects and prepares site progress reports.
· Liaison with contractors, project managers or other individuals to meet deadline dates of projects.
· Evaluates contractor performance for all projects to ensure design compliance with construction and installation of PSTA assets.
· Participates in various project meetings and maintains records of all construction dates, milestones, and costs.
· Assists in close-out process and confirms appropriate filing of all paperwork.
· Reviews and interprets plans, specifications, civil/architectural drawings and blueprints for accuracy and completeness.
· Reviews contractor as-builts to verify field changes are captured in conformance with specifications.
· Coordinates with local city and/or state agency staff, developers, utility owners and inspectors for timely completion of construction projects.
· Reviews contractor invoices: reviews and verifies payment quantities for work completed.
· Travels to construction sites or other locations as needed for field visits and inspections.
· Coordinates other agency, and private business construction impacts and serves as field contact for construction impacts to PSTA infrastructure and assets.
· Evaluates proposed and existing construction for ADA and other compliance with federal, state, and local, requirements.
· Assists with development of signed and sealed design drawings.
· Physically accept deliverables to include measuring according to drawings and specifications.
· Performs other duties of similar nature and level assigned.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or related field.
