Key Responsibilities:


* Evaluate and treat residents within 24 hours of physician referral


* Develop treatment plans and obtain physician approval


* Provide direct therapy services based on individualized care plans


* Supervise and mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)


* Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and team meetings


* Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations


* Educate caregivers and staff on maintenance programs for residents


* Assist with ordering and recommending adaptive equipment


* Support discharge planning and help residents achieve maximum independence

Requirements:


* Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of California (in good standing)


* Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred


* Skilled in computer documentation systems (e.g., NetHealth, PointClickCare)


* Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills


* Ability to work positively and collaboratively with residents, staff, and families
