Principal Product Development Engineer.

Responsibilities:



* Lead voice of the customer and transform clinical observations into new device concepts, requirements, and specifications.


* Conceptualize, design, procure, prototype, and build components and assemblies for products and testing/manufacturing fixtures


* Lead feasibility testing, analyze, and report on test results


* Lead root cause analysis activities


* Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in support of all platforms and product lifecycle phases and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:



* BS in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering


* 10 years experience in class II/III medical device product development with demonstrated leadership in design control and risk management processes and deliverables


* Strong experience in 3D modeling, 2D drawings and GD&T.

Able to model complex parts and assemblies and conduct basic structural and fluid FEA.


* Hands on experience and leadership roles in testing within a laboratory environment, prototyping, pilot manufacturing, and basic machine shop equipment


* Experience with electromechanical systems and components, fiber optics, sensors, motors, PCB's, signal processing and IEC 60601 preferred
