What will you do
 

We are on the lookout for a Payroll Officer who is detail-orientated to join our small supportive team in Smithfield who’s not just great with numbers, but also passionate about delivering fantastic customer service.
 

In this busy role, you will report to the Payroll Manager and be responsible for delivering accurate and confidential payroll services in accordance with relevant legislation, awards, and agreements.

You’ll support payroll compliance, reporting, and system integrity while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing


* Running smooth on time accurate payrolls (weekly & fortnightly)


* Maintain payroll governance and compliance to support identification and resolution of payroll risks and issues Handling leave reconciliations, journals, and EOFY processes


* Keeping our payroll systems (ADP Payforce, ADP Realtime, Kronos, Workday) updated


* Assisting with payroll reporting, audits, compliance, and continuous improvement projects.


* Collaborating with HR and Finance to keep everything moving


* Contributing to process improvements and team projects

About you


* Ideally you have 2 years’ experience as a Payroll Officer within a Manufacturing, or FMCG industry.


* Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, EBAs, and awards


* Computer literate with Intermediate Excel skills and ERP experience (SAP highly regarded)
