Corrugator Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Production Supervisor - Corrugator at our Denton, TX facility.

The Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, processes, and systems.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value and lead a crew of employees to exceed production expectations for the shift.

This position will support the 3rd shift team operating Monday night - Saturday morning, 10:00pm - 6:00am with occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What You Will Do


* Develop trusted relationships and know your employees well enough to help them self-actualize by providing honest, direct and timely feedback and to help them understand their strengths and weaknesses

* Lead an operating team in compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality


* Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents, think creatively and participate in resolution of causes.


* Build training plans and action plans for improvement areas within your shift


* Ensure best practices are followed for minimization of waste at machine centers.


* Own the production process and accountability and follow through with the Production, Quality, Shipping, Maintenance teams.


* Provide leadership and support across all functions in the facility.


* Actively engage in continuous improvement activities and leveraging expertise of capability groups within Georgia-Pacific

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience supervising employees in a corrugated production operation.


* Previous experience using Microsoft office Suite (i.e.

Outlook, Word, Excel)


* Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead


* Bachelor's degree or higher


* Experience with KIWI systems


* Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
