Housekeeping Team Leader

We are looking for an authentic and driven Housekeeping Team Leader(Full Time) to join us at Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel and embrace your unique, best self to provide our guests with heartfelt human connections!

Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel brings together traditional Edinburgh architecture with an exciting and fresh indoor feel, offering our guests a modern luxurious stay.

Welcoming locals to relax in our Garden area (a must visit), experiencing mouth-watering food in BABA restaurant, or guests from far and wide being pampered in our state-of-the-art Spa – we cover it all!

As a Housekeeping Team Leader, we will support you to:

What do you need to be a Housekeeping Team Leader? Well, your main duties and responsibilities will be providing guests with a pristine room, meeting health and safety standards and working at pace to ensure rooms are ready for our guests to start checking into.

Greeting guests with a friendly manner and communicating regularly with our Front Office team.

So, we are looking for someone who has…


* Availability to work 40 hours per week


* Previous experience in Hotel Cleaning, as room attendant or public areas cleaner 


* Experience with handling guests queries and complaints


* To be willing to learn new things and work as part of a wide hotel team


* To exercise leadership through fairness and respect, and demonstrate support of management directives


* To be responsible for your own and your team cleanliness of guest rooms, corridors and pantries within instructed area of responsibility


* To be responsible for the day-to-day performance of housekeeping team members within their given area of responsibility


* To report, and support team to report, maintenance issues (using hotel service optimisation / property tool)


* Effective mentoring and training of the staff guided by the Housekeeping Manager, so as to achieve and maintain quality brand standards through the execution of departmental trainings 


* Excellent organizational skills and practices in line with effective time management


* To adhere to all legal rules, regulations and guidelines of the hotel
