Consumer Engagement Specialist

Georgia Pacific is seeking a Consumer Engagement Specialist for our retail CPG brands to foster a community of loyal customers and enhance the customer experience.

The Consumer Engagement Specialist performs a variety of consumer-facing responsibilities primarily focusing on various social platforms, chat, email, and general support.

This role is highly collaborative and offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in a variety of areas along the consumer journey.

You will be responsible for delivering a positive consumer experience at every touchpoint, reinforcing why GP and our brands are differentiated by understanding and addressing customer issues/complaints, and escalating for resolution if needed.

Location: This is a hybrid role based at our headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

What You Will Do

Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating the following actions:


* Respond to all customer inquiries through phone, voicemail, email, letter, social media, ratings & reviews


* Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining root cause of the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution


* Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication


* Communicate and respond to inquiries and posts from customers over multiple platforms


* Apply economic and critical thinking skills on a daily basis

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


* A minimum of 3 years of customer service experience


* Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple priorities effectively


* Willing to travel up to 10% for business related meetings

What Will Put You Ahead


* Bachelor's degree - preferably in a business-related field


* Experience with salesforce® or a similar CRM


* Experience with SAP


* Experience working at a consumer products company
