Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop, and implement software solutions.

Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Understand and interpret business needs to develop solutions that meet the requirements.

Ensure that application design specifications align with pre-defined architectural standards.

Design and improve the user interface and user experience of software applications.

Develop both front-end and back-end of web applications.

Automate and optimize software development and deployment processes.

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.

Test and ensure the quality of software applications.

Create detailed documentation to communicate technical requirements to stakeholders.

Write code to implement software application modules.

Continuously improve and enhance existing software solutions.

Debug and resolve code-related problems to ensure smooth software functionality.

Participate in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.

Provide recommendations to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows.

Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Java Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Java Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience in the following: developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications using Angular; deploying and managing cloud-based applications on AWS services; developing and executing shell scripts and command line interface commands in UNIX operating systems; designing, developing and maintaining applications using J2EE specifications; writing queries and fine tuning them in Relational and NoSQL databases.

This position requires one (1) year of experience in the following: containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes; programming using Perl and shell scripting; Developing and maintaining front-end user interfaces using web development frameworks; testing web applications using JUnit and Cucumber.
