Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Director Competitive Strategy – Shockwave Medical to join our team.

The position is FULLY REMOTE AND CAN SIT ANYWHERE IN THE US.

Ready to join a team that’s pioneering the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease.

Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.

Position Overview

The Director Competitive Strategy works with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Corporate Accounts and others to develop and deploy commercial strategy for pricing and contracting offers that result in Shockwave maintaining its market leading position and profitability.   This individual is able to influence others both internally and externally.

Essential Job Functions


* Work cross-functionally to maximize market share while meeting revenue and cost financial targets.


* Build cross-functional methodology to evaluate and respond to customer requests for product and pricing in competitive situations with a success rate greater than 70%.


* Create strategy for offering combinations (between contracting levers and customer performance metrics) that satisfy revenue and cost targets.  Offerings must provide flexibility for CAD/AVP/RSDs to execute deals locally without having to have every 'deal' reviewed by a committee.


* Lead C-Level executive meetings with key customers to talk about product and pricing strategies to ensure Shockwave competitiveness in the market.


* Champion the competitive blunting project from the US Commercial perspective.


* Develop strategy and approach to competitive blunting as it relates to pricing and contracting.
