As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Acquiring Platforms & Rails Tandem team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way on HPE NonStop.

Job responsibilities



* Developing on Tandem in a hands-on technical leadership capacity


* Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors


* Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others


* Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes


* Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus


* Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle


* Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on TANDEM/NonStop engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience


* Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines


* Understanding of architecture and design across all systems


* Working proficiency in developmental toolsets


* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices


* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals


* Passionate about building an innovative culture


* Assist in planning, architecture, analysis and design of enterprise technology solutions that satisfy business requirements for large complex systems.


* Hands-on TANDEM/NonStop Systems development using Tools and Languages including TAL, TACL, Tandem COBOL, TANDEM C++, ENSCRIBE, ENFORM, TANDEM pathway, Tandem internal messaging system, FUP, BATCHCOM, SQLCI, Host security module, tokenization and encryption

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Understanding of payment processing industry (ISO8583 message Format and Industry Specifications)


* Experience on C++, Java, DevOps, BigData, Kafka Stream, Control-M, Golden Gate, Agile based development
