Account Manager

Your Job

As a key member of our customer service team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a significant portion of our account base.

Your role is vital in delivering World Class Service by managing relationships, resolving customer issues, and helping drive business growth through exceptional support and communication.

Our team works collaboratively with sales, engineering, production, materials and marketing to ensure seamless customer experiences and continuous revenue growth.

What You Will Do

• Serve as the primary contact for medium to large sized customers, fostering strong and lasting relationships

• This position will manage Key International Customers along with assisting the AIL (UK facility) with pass thru orders, processing AIL materials and components orders and other responsibilities

• In addition, the position will manage our Molex International Distributors

• Identify opportunities to enhance business partnerships and increase sales potential

• Assist customers with inquiries regarding product applications, pricing, credit terms, and availability, coordinating with engineering and production teams for technical support

• Provide accurate and timely pricing, including quantity discounts within established guidelines

• Enter new customer data, sales information, and customer orders with precision

• Estimate delivery dates accurately based on production, materials, and scheduling information

• Investigate and resolve customer issues related to deliveries, warranties, replacements, and adjustments

• Maintain clear and regular communication with outside sales, marketing, and management regarding customer developments

• Monitor open orders, change orders, and expedite requests to proactively address potential problems

• Support sales and service efforts with minimal clerical duties as needed

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Completion of a two-year Associate's or vocational degree, or equivalent education/experience combination

• 3 to 5 years of relevant customer service or account management experience

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, and good judgment with internal and external customers

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Problem-solving ability in dynamic situations with limited standardization

• Proficient in interpreting instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience working in a manufacturing or technical product environment

• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems for customer order and data management; Glovia and Oracle software experience would be beneficial

• Knowledge of connector products or related technical applications

• Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
