Regulatory, Controls, and Operational Risk Technology - Principal Architect

As a Principal Architect, within the Regulatory, Controls and Operational Risk Technology group, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions.

Job responsibilities:


* Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies


* Ensure Architectural Alignment for all software projects align with our organizational goals and technology standards


* Guiding both front-end and back-end engineering teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and practices


* Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design


* Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others and mitigate delivery and operations risks early in SDLC


* Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies


* Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience


* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design and application development


* Expertise in one or more programming language(s)


* Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and enterprise architecture with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., Controls, risk, cloud, artificial intelligence etc.)


* Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines


* Demonstrated experience with influencing technical strategy


* Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* Experience in Operational Risk Management function of a financial services institution


* Experience with deploying AI Tools for developers


* Experience working in heavily regulated industry


* Self-starter who can shape rough concepts into refined deliverables and deliverables
