Order Coordinator - Supply Chain - Work Truck

Responsibilities

Altec is looking for individuals to join our Work Truck Team as an Order Coordinator to support the Supply Chain for Altec Work Truck's Third Party Suppliers.

This position will be responsible for purchasing, maintaining order schedules, and managing shipping for the Altec Work Truck Team's 3 rd Party Suppliers.

The preferred location for this position is Birmingham, AL.

Major Responsibilities:


* Prepare, process, and approve purchase orders for the Altec Work Truck Group's Third Party suppliers


* Maintain scheduled completion dates based on PO Need By Dates in the Altec Schedule.


* Limited scheduling tasks.


* Communicate and coordinate business unit's requirements to suppliers (i.e.

needs, deadlines, impact to schedule, available alternatives) Includes communicating with internal and external customers/suppliers.


* Scheduling Drive-Away services for Third Party Suppliers upon completion of units


* Commitment to expediting, prioritizing, and planning for the business unit's needs


* Identifying and resolving errors


* Department specific invoice management, including resolution of discrepancies in pricing and receiving transactions.


* All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

4-year Degree preferred.

-OR -

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience required:

6 years applicable experience with at least 2 of those years with Altec, Supply Chain Functions preferred.

-AND-

Microsoft Office suite experience required.

Knowledge of supply chain principles and concepts required.

ERP system experience preferred.
