Director of Operations
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Participate in the hiring and training of departmental managers.
* Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.
* Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
* Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and by company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Initiates, demonstrates, directs, and enforces the development of safety practices and procedures.
* Develops, implements, and monitors operational systems and processes daily to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
* Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for significant changes, meets with the entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale
* Responsible for managing budgets and business planning for the facility, as well as establishing and achieving departmental goals and objectives.
* Collaborate with executive-level management to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans.
* Maximize efficiency and productivity through comprehensive process analysis, interdepartmental collaboration, and the implementation of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement (CI) tools.
* Set strategic goals for operational safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and productivity.
* Work alongside department heads and stakeholders to develop financial and budgetary plans.
* Analyze current operational processes and performance, and recommend improvements where necessary
* Leads the coordination and integration of efforts among the operations, engineering, technology, and customer service divisions to create a smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
* Maintains the organization's policies and standards while presenting a positive image to employees, customers, the industry, and the community.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
