Lead Support Worker

Exeter, Devon

1 x Permanent and 1 x 12 months fixed term, full time (x 37.5 hpw)

On 4 week rolling rota, including evenings and weekends.

Pay £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum)

Typical Day as a Lead Support Worker (we know it as a Support Coordinator)


* Creating support plans with customers and coordinating a small team of Support Workers.


* Assisting customers with daily activities like meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancy, and transitioning to independent accommodation.


* Conducting risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and regular reviews.


* Enjoying cuppas, chats, and catch-ups with no rush between customers, allowing time for collaboration with colleagues.

You Bring


* Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives, working collaboratively with attention to detail.


* Experience in creating person-centred support plans and guiding colleagues to follow them.


* Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals.


* Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and maintain a resilient approach.


* Flexible and caring nature, adaptable to sudden changes, and effective teamwork skills.


* Strong communication skills to articulate complex problems and see them through to resolution.
