Position Summary:

Oak River Rehab is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Cook to assist in preparing meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.

The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, a strong work ethic, and a heart for serving others in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:


* Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements


* Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times


* Assist in cleaning and organizing kitchen and food storage areas


* Work collaboratively with dietary staff and follow direction from the Dietary Manager


* Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment

Qualifications:


* Previous cooking experience preferred, especially in healthcare or institutional settings


* Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation standards


* Ability to follow recipes and accommodate special diets


* Strong organizational and communication skills


* Must be dependable and a team player


* ServSafe certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
