As the Vice President, Corporate Controller & Finance Transformation, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day record maintenance, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of the financial results in accordance with U.S.

GAAP.

You will oversee SEC reporting, financial systems, corporate accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and finance transformation initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and standardization.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Partner with all business units to provide support on significant accounting matters and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures


* Champion development and maintenance of efficient internal controls and processes to ensure proper accounting and reporting while minimizing risk and complying with SOX


* Lead end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation (Oracle Fusion) and RPA use case development


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current processes and define future-state solutions for automation and standardization


* Oversee SEC reporting, technical accounting research, and compliance with U.S.

GAAP and SEC rules

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent related work or military experience


* CPA certification


* 12+ years of senior financial reporting experience in a public company, including Big 4or large international accounting firm background


* Operational controllership experience supporting key operating teams


* Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX controls


* Experience with at least one major ERP platform and successful ERP implementation lifecycle(s)


* Hands-on experience with RPA tools and familiarity with accounting automation platforms

It'd be great if you also have:


* MBA degree


* Experience with Hyperion


* Familiarity with accounting automation platforms such as BlackLine, Trintech, or FloQast


* Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment


* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
