Housekeeping/Laundry Aide Full time and Part time

Santa Cruz Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and thorough individual to join our team as a full time and part time housekeeping aide.

This role involves maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for residents and staff, encompassing both janitorial duties and laundry responsibilities.

Responsibilities


* Ensure a consistent supply of clean linens.


* Inspect and maintain linens, removing damaged items.


* Collect and process resident laundry.


* Label new residents' clothing.


* Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to procedures.


* Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.


* Follow all sanitary laundry procedures.


* Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.


* Operate all laundry equipment and handle supplies safely.


* Perform general housekeeping in resident rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting.


* Sanitize areas as required.


* Maintain the cleanliness of public areas like the lobby and restrooms.


* Clean handrails.


* Clean walls, mirrors, windows, and light fixtures.


* Empty trash cans.


* Sweep and mop floors.


* Utilize proper safety measures and signage during cleaning.


* Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an orderly manner.


* Report equipment and facility maintenance issues promptly.
