Overview

To ensure Housekeeping Department cleans and maintains guest rooms and public space in accordance with client/guest expectations, Marriott Brand Standards and HEI Standards of Product and Service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing a staff of supervisors, room attendants, house persons and public area attendants by inspecting staff work and giving guidance so that deficiencies are corrected, standards are met and conducting daily and monthly meetings.

• Training and inspecting the work is to standards that we expect.

• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, recommending performance evaluations, resolving problems, providing open communication, and recommending discipline when appropriate.

• Arrange staff work schedules, determining days off, ensuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated projects.

Submits payroll records, correcting errors to ensure pay is on time and includes any purchased rooms, extra cleanup, cots, etc.

• Assist with maintaining and reviewing computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses as well as inspection scores for housekeepers.

• Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Education and Experience

• 3+ years of housekeeping leadership experience, preferably in a comparable hotel.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
