Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor leads a team of pharmacy technicians that assist pharmacists and pharmacy manager.

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor oversees daily pharmacy workflow and pharmacy technician schedules to ensure the needs of the business and customer service standards are maintained and in compliance with state and federal regulations.

In addition, the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor leads, supports, develops, and evaluates pharmacy technicians while upholding departmental standards.

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for employee engagement and advocating for the pharmacy technician team while supporting the Pharmacy Manager in solving complex problems.


* Provides day-to-day supervision and coaching to ensure pharmacy technicians’ responsibilities are carried out using standard operating procedures to complete daily assignments accurately and efficiently.


* Ensures all pharmacy functions are properly staffed to meet business and operational needs.


* Create and manage the daily and long-term pharmacy technician schedules and daily workflow schedule.


* Supports non-dispensing tasks and patient services if needed


* Effectively communicates with pharmacy staff and sets clear performance expectations.


* Enforce accountability standards.


* Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager and HR in sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new pharmacy technicians.


* Creates and implements training plans for pharmacy technicians


* Provides coaching and feedback on performance and conduct issues


* Assists Pharmacy Managers in evaluation of staff on performance competencies


* Performs pharmacy technician annual performance reviews


* Oversee and assist with daily tasks performed by Certified Lead Pharmacy Technicians
