Responsibilities:
* Under the supervision of senior technical and engineering staff, develop concept sketches, details, and contract plans for transportation-related structures such as bridges, retaining walls, and ancillary structures
* Develop plan quantities including reinforcing steel bar list and calculate bridge geometry and elevations
* Perform basic engineering calculations
* Develop sketches for reports, proposals, and meeting exhibits
* Develop shop drawings for fabricators and review shop drawings supplied by fabricators
* Assist in fieldwork to include data collection and inspections
* Assist in the development of engineering reports
* Compiling project deliverable submittal packages
* Check accuracy of completed work
* Work on multi-disciplinary project teams serving multiple clients
* Ability to demonstrate the strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
Ability to be proactive in determining the necessary steps to meet objectives and performance expectations of the position
* Perform other duties assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
* Basic skills in geometry and trigonometry
* Detail-oriented and able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency with basic drafting protocols such as orthographic projections and dimensioning standards
