As the Material Handler Lead, you will have an important role on our team by providing day-to-day leadership of the department processes and resources.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Ensure all work is performed safely and according to safety procedures


* Provide on-the-job training to new associates on department processes


* Participate and direct a team using Lean warehousing methodologies


* Perform departmental processes and safely operate equipment to complete duties

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* High school diploma or equivalent


* 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment


* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office


* Knowledge of ERP systems


* Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)


* Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing


* Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner


* Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including: lifting objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights; bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, pushing and pulling, standing, sitting, or walking for long periods of time; able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment


* Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments


* Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed
