Supervisor, Transportation Operations

What You'll Do:



* Supervise daily operations for a team of 10 local CDL A drivers including dispatching, problem solving, payroll approval, HOS and ELD logbook review.

This role requires constant face-to-face driver interaction and on-site support.


* Work independently, serving as a motivator and leader for your team and location.

Be available on-call for evenings and weekends as needed.


* Assist customers and warehouse teams to resolve performance, billing, order, and delivery issues.


* Assist the Transportation Operations Manager by monitoring/evaluating current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency in the areas of planning, scheduling of workflow, business rules, shipping matrixes, and customer service practices.

What Experience and Education You Need:



* Bachelor's/Associates degree and 2-4 years of transportation and dispatch experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


* Minimum 1 year of proven supervisory experience required.


* Strong computer skills required (MS Office).

Knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations highly preferred.


* Experience with ELDs (especially Motiv) and TMS platforms (especially McLeod) preferred.
