Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery in Jacksonville, Florida.

The selected leader will provide expert surgical care, leading a team of pediatric neurosurgeons and healthcare professionals and develop strategic initiatives to improve outcomes, access and innovation in neurosurgical care for children.

Key Responsibilities:


* Lead the strategic, operational and financial management of the pediatric neurosurgery division


* Recruit, mentor and evaluate faculty and staff


* Develop and implement departmental goals, policies, clinical protocols and quality initiatives


* Represent the division at hospital leadership meetings and contribute to institutional strategy


* Oversee the quality, safety, and efficiency of pediatric neurosurgical services


* Ensure departmental participation in multidisciplinary care with neurology, oncology, orthopedics, intensive care, and rehabilitation teams

Qualifications:


* MD or DO


* Board certified in specialty


* Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA


* Minimum 5 years of experience


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
