Haul Truck Operator

New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Inc.

(NESL) is currently hiring an Haul Truck Operator (Heavy Equipment Operator) to safely and efficiently operate haul trucks and other pieces of equipment.

Responsibilities include basic equipment inspections, maintenance, and clear communication with crew members. 

Starting Pay:  $22.86/hr. + Defined Pension Contributions

Haul Truck Operator - What Will You Do?


* Operate assigned equipment in accordance with NESL operating and safety guidelines.


* Operate miscellaneous equipment for the preparation, grading and excavation of job site.


* Operate haul truck and learn operation of plant.


* Inspect and maintain equipment in good working condition.


* Effectively communicate with teammates on worksite.


* Represent NESL with the utmost professionalism.

Qualifications:
•    High school diploma or GED required.
•    2+ years of equipment operation experience preferred.
•    Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail and quality.
•    Able to perform physical labor, including shoveling, raking, standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods.
•    Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
•    Comfortable working at heights up to 70 ft.
•    Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
•    Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•    Flexible and reliable under time-sensitive, high-pressure conditions.
•    Willing to work 8+ hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as needed.
•    Willing to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, dust).
•    Willing to travel within a designated geographic area for job assignments.
