As an Executive Sous Chef, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing) …


* Being accountable for the Kitchen operation including production, cleanliness and safe systems of work in the absence of our Executive Chef


* Managing our large team of chefs to ensure IHG standards are being met and training is up to date 


* Assisting our Executive Chef to leading our team through the transition to IHG, keeping up to date with both local and national food trends and allergen updates


* Supporting to create and developing dishes on our menu to celebrate local cuisine and keep up to date with food trends 


* Develop and support our Chef team, training and upskilling our Chefs to ensure everyone is able to provide excellent culinary experiences for our guests

We are searching for a true service superstar, someone who thrives in providing our Guests with an excellent service throughout their stay.

In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has….


* Availability to work 40 hours per week (5 shifts) across a variety of shifts based on business needs


* To have been a Senior Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef within a similar sized property


* Having been involved with managing and recruiting for a team of Chef, you will be confident in leading by example and developing your team to push higher standards  


* To have completed level 3 Food Safety certification and have knowledge in HACCP


* Knowledge of appropriate systems to support operational processes– such as Micros Simphony (or relevant POS) and Procure Wizard 


* Knowledge of appropriate working to brand standards relating to food and the ability to create and deliver appropriate menus, using appropriate suppliers and product


* To be part of external networks and up to date with critical issues and trends in food


* Technical skills to work on every section for every service period in the kitchen
