Role: Lead, Microsoft Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Development Specialist for implementation and continuous improvement of Microsoft Search across our enterprise ecosystem.

This role will also play a key part in integrating structured and unstructured data sources and enabling intelligent search experiences through Microsoft Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio.

Key responsibilities


* • Microsoft Search Implementation & Optimization



* Design, configure, and deploy Microsoft Search across Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)


* Customize search verticals, result types, and connectors to meet business needs


* Monitor and improve search relevance, performance, and user experience

Data Integration & Knowledge Management


* Integrate standard (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive) and non-standard (e.g., legacy systems, third-party platforms) data sources


* Implement Microsoft Graph connectors and APIs for custom data integration

Copilot Enablement


* Collaborate with business and IT teams to design and implement Copilot Chat experiences


* Develop custom Copilot plugins and scenarios using Microsoft Copilot Studio

Governance & Compliance


* Ensure search and Copilot implementations adhere to Schneider Electric's data governance, security, and compliance standards


* Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage data access and privacy

Skills and experience

Education and experience


* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field


* 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, and primarily Microsoft Search

Must have skills


* Microsoft 365 & Search Ecosystem



* Deep understanding of Microsoft Search architecture, schema, and customization


* Experience configuring search verticals, result types, custom refiners, and bookmarks


* Proficiency with Microsoft Graph API, Microsoft Search API, and Graph Connectors


* Proficiency in KQL (Keyword Query Language) for search tuning


* Experience with search analytics, user behaviour tracking, and relevance tuning

Copilot & Power Platform


* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Chat and Copilot Studio


* Ability to design and deploy custom Copilot plugins, Power Automate flows, and Power Apps


* Familiarity with prompt engineering and semantic search concepts

Data Integration & Development


* Development experience using PowerShell, Node JS or Python

Knowledge of AI/ML-based ranking models and natural language processing (NLP) is a plusGood to Have skills.


* Security, Compliance & Governance



* Understanding of Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, and role-based access control (RBAC)


* Experience implementing data classification, retention policies, and compliance boundaries
