Senior Fabric Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Fabric Engineer responsible for creating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Power BI reports, design, architecture, administration, and governance, along with hands-on experience in issue resolution and performance optimization on the Fabric platform.

Candidate must also have experience with Delta Lake, SQL and data modeling skills.

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:



* Create interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI tailored to business needs.


* Design and implement Fabric solutions to assist with Business Intelligence reporting needs.


* Develop and maintain measures, calculated columns, and KPIs using DAX.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with Azure data services and Microsoft Fabric.


* Integrate data from diverse sources (Delta Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Excel, SharePoint, third-party APIs)


* Optimize reports for usability, performance, and scalability


* Monitor and maintain platform health, ensuring smooth operation of reports, dashboards, apps, and semantic models.


* Manage and resolve service desk tickets related to Fabric/Power BI support, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving report and platform issues.


* Create and maintain documentation for Fabric/Power BI platform components, including best practices, standards, and troubleshooting guides.

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:



* Strong expertise in Power BI development and administration, including semantic models, managing workspace settings, security, and compliance.


* Familiarity with Azure data platform components (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL)


* Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), Python and SQL


* Ability to manage Power BI service desk tickets efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.


* Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and provide tech

Experience:



* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field


* 5+ years in BI, data engineering


* Experience with Microsoft Fabric components and features (OneLake, Lakehouse, warehouse, pipelines, Synapse, dataflows)


* Hands on data modeling experience


* Hands on experience with Delta Lake


* Experience in troubleshooting Power BI Service, Report Server, semantic models, and dataset refresh failures.
