Underwriter, Private/Not-for-Profit

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position supports the achievement of established goals related to profitable growth, customer service, and maintaining producer relationships of the Private/Not-For-Profit (PNP) renewal team.

Key functions include underwriting, financial analysis, and servicing of assigned book of business.

The underwriter builds strong customer relationships to ensure a positive customer experience.

The underwriting function is based on analysis of appropriate information, compliance with underwriting guidance, and developing a renewal strategy.

The underwriter utilizes automated systems for underwriting analysis, claims analysis, and communication.

Duties include but are not limited to:


* Solicits new and renewal submissions from brokers


* Determines terms and conditions and complex rating plans


* Binds coverage


* Documents the underwriting files


* Handles more complex files and portfolios within underwriting authority
