Card Authorizations Modernization Project Manager - Senior Associate
The Card Authorizations Modernization Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing projects with a focus on technical and product expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies, status reporting, and capability mapping.
This role requires a driven, organized, and collaborative individual who is an effective communicator and possesses in-depth knowledge of the financial and credit card industries.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and manage initiatives with a focus on technical and product expertise, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Utilize agile methodologies to assist in driving execution, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and team ceremonies.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Attend capability mapping sessions to effectively capture initiative scope and dependencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership, providing clear and concise updates.
- Leverage financial institution and credit card knowledge to inform decisions and strategies.
- Utilize Lucid, Microsoft Office and Jira Align/Jira skills for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Apply reporting and analytics experience to create insightful dashboards and reports.
- Deliver presentations and speak confidently in front of senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Conduct dependency mapping to identify and manage interdependencies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven experience in project management within a financial institution or credit card industry.
- Strong technical and product expertise, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable project plans.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and tools, including Jira.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in reporting and analytics.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership and overall organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
