Job Title: Packer

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Employment Status: Full-Time; Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

To pack parts in cartons according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:



* Packs parts according to production schedule with designated part, paper, carton, etc.



* Inspects parts for proper description, damage, quantity, etc.



* Remove parts from pre-hang racks and pack parts according to required specifications.



* Adheres to all safety guidelines.



* Communicates any problems to the Team Leader and/or Production Supervisor.



* Maintains a clean work environment .



* Handles other essential tasks as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:



* Ability to pack on a conveyor line.



* Ability to operate packing equipment such as strap machine, shrink wrap machine, staple guns, rivet guns, etc.



* Verbal and written communication skills.



* Reading and math skills.



* Frequent standing.



* Ability to lift or move typically 30-50 lbs.



* Other physical demands - stooping, kneeling, handling, etc.



* Ability to work overtime on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:



* At least 1 year packing experience preferred.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required .
