Your Day to Day:

As a Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry, you will support the Chef de Partie in preparing, baking, and presenting a wide range of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts for the hotel’s dining outlets and events.

This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for pastry to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products that meet the hotel’s standards.

You will also collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth, efficient, and hygienic kitchen operations. 

Some of your main role responsibilities are:


* Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation and production of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts for all outlets, events, and banquets.


* Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all bakery and pastry items according to established standards.


* Participate in the planning and execution of new recipes and seasonal menus for the pastry section.


* Support daily kitchen operations, including mise en place, stock rotation, and inventory control.


* Maintain proper storage, labelling, and handling of all ingredients and finished products to ensure food safety and freshness.


* Adhere to HACCP standards and always uphold hygiene and cleanliness within the section.


* Work efficiently during high-demand periods such as breakfast service, afternoon tea, and event functions.


* Assist in the training, supervision, and development of junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and trainees, in pastry and baking techniques.


* Collaborate with the Chef de Partie and culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations and timely service delivery.


* Monitor waste reduction by accurate measuring and smart utilization of ingredients and leftovers.
