Sr Lead Architect

JPMorganChase is seeking an experienced Kafka and ETL Architect leader to lead the design and implementation of our Kafka architecture.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our data streaming and ETL strategies, ensuring robust and scalable solutions that meet the needs of our business.

This position requires a strong commitment to open-source contributions, particularly within the Kafka ecosystem.

Job responsibilities


* Lead the architecture and implementation of Apache Kafka solutions to support Chase's data streaming and integration needs.


* Design and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow and transformation across various platforms.


* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


* Actively contribute to open-source projects related to Kafka, enhancing the community and staying at the forefront of technology advancements.


* Provide leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.

In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise


* Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of architects


* Extensive experience as a Kafka Architect, with a deep understanding of ETL processes and data integration.


* Proven track record of contributions to open-source projects, particularly within the Kafka community.


* Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.


* Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.


* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
