Overview

The Painter/Carpenter Engineer is responsible for performing skilled painting, carpentry, and general maintenance duties throughout the hotel.

This role ensures the upkeep and functionality of all public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house spaces in accordance with brand standards and safety regulations.

The position also supports preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, contributing to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Painting and Wallpaper Responsibilities:


* Prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, stains, epoxy, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and furniture.


* Perform drywall repair, caulking, patching, sanding, and priming.


* Install, repair, and remove wallpaper and wall coverings as needed in guest rooms and public spaces.


* Ensure wallpaper patterns are properly aligned and seams are secure and visually appealing.


* Maintain tools and supplies (including adhesives, rollers, and trimming tools) in a clean and organized manner.


* Match paint colors for touch-ups and perform regular touch-up maintenance.


* Complete painting and wallpaper assignments in guest rooms and public areas as part of scheduled maintenance.

Carpentry Responsibilities:


* Build, repair, and install furniture, cabinetry, doors, molding, trim, and wall structures.


* Replace or repair drywall, ceiling tiles, baseboards, and tile.


* Assemble fixtures, shelves, and custom pieces per work orders.


* Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely.
