Corporate Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Staff Accountant to join our finance team.
This role is responsible for applying accounting principles to perform moderate to complex general ledger reconciliations, manage general ledger accounts within the accounting system, and assist in the preparation of financial reports and financial statement footnotes.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to accuracy, possess a proactive mindset, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
In addition to core responsibilities, this position will be cross-trained in other accounting functions, offering a well-rounded experience and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly corporate account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Reconcile inter-company transactions between Corporate and business units, maintaining consistency across entities
* Support cash disbursement processes and assist with banking operations
* Contribute to the monthly close process and analyze Corporate financial results
* Compile and analyze financial data for monthly and quarterly schedules used in executive and external reporting
* Maintain account and legal entity mappings, including edits and structural updates within the Company's consolidation system
* Prepare internal management reports and respond to ad hoc reporting requests
* Uphold and document internal control procedures, including periodic testing to ensure compliance with accounting standards
Candidate Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
* A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in general accounting
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel required.
* Knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
* Demonstrated analytical skills and strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines
* Motivated and innovative with a process improvement outlook
* Effective communication skills at all levels, one-on-one or in a group
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
