NHC Pulaski is seeking a driven and dynamic Life Enrichment Director to lead a robust therapeutic programming department that meets the diverse needs of our long-term care residents.
This is not just a role-it's a mission-critical leadership position that demands creativity, clinical insight, strong organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Your Impact
As Life Enrichment Director, you will be responsible for building a program that goes beyond activities-you'll create opportunities for emotional, physical, social, and cognitive engagement that improve overall quality of life.
You'll lead the development, coordination, and execution of innovative programming that meets regulatory requirements while challenging and fulfilling each resident in meaningful ways.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive enrichment program that spans all domains of wellness
* Manage the daily operations of the Life Enrichment department, including staff supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluations
* Complete assessments, care plans, documentation, and compliance audits accurately and on time
* Lead and oversee volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition
* Facilitate meaningful patient councils and resident feedback loops
* Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations
* Collaborate cross-functionally with nursing, therapy, social services, and marketing to create a unified resident experience
* Organize high-impact events, holiday programs, and community outreach efforts
* Train and mentor staff to ensure program quality and resident satisfaction
Qualifications
* Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Certified Activity Director preferred (Must obtain within 90 days of hire)
* Associate's degree or higher preferred; OR two years of relevant college; OR two years of professional experience in activities/memory care
* Proven leadership and program management experience in a healthcare or senior living setting
* Strong interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills
* Deep commitment to senior care and wellness programming
