Truck to Truck Supervisor
Job Title: Truck to Truck Supervisor
Starting pay: $24.00 hour
Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day planning, transfer, coordination, and execution of proper paperwork for Truck-to-Truck (TTT) drum management.
Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance and deadlines: Ensure that all key deadlines are met and proper follow-up is implemented to ensure drum transfer compliance within the required ten-day periods.
Compliance communication: Communicate with management regarding compliance issues, Department of Transportation (DOT) concerns, and any issues that could impact the business.
Coordinate with Logistics: Work with Corporate Logistics to address issues that impact inbound or outbound carriers.
Equipment coordination: Work with the local Logistics Manager and National Logistics to address equipment needs such as vans, box trucks, etc.
Maintain systems and logs: Ensure timely and accurate entries into systems like Microsoft Outlook, Power Suite, and Truck-to-Truck logs.
Facility issue resolution: Work closely with the facility on issues related to drum rejects or compliance concerns regarding deadlines.
Report incidents: Report and assist with any issues at the hub facility (e.g., leaks, releases) to the Health & Safety or Compliance Manager immediately.
DOT Exemptions: Ensure proper DOT exemptions are used for TTT containers before departure from the facility.
Forklift operation: Offload, palletize, and reload materials using a forklift.
Container security: Ensure all containers being loaded onto outbound trailers are secure and inspected.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School or equivalent in General Studies (Required)
Experience:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role (Required)
Certifications/Training:
Forklift trained (Required)
DOT training and knowledge of regulations (Required)
Manifest training and knowledge of regulations (Required)
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Windows-based applications (Required)
Strong organizational skills (Required)
Ability to perform multi-tasking (Required)
Strong communication skills (Required)
Travel:
Less than 10%
